I never had a beach wedding nor have I attended one. I like the idea of an informal ceremony along the beach, but there is a lot to consider when planning any outside wedding and the beach can be quite unaccommodating.
First of all, it tends to be windy…always! How does a beautiful bride keep her hair in place? Will the guests sit or stand for the ceremony? How many guests will be emptying their shoes during the exchange of vows? Will everyone feel sticky and salty once it’s over?
These are just some questions I would have, but the Beach Wedding Cakes are sooooo pretty….
I came across this Heirloom Hourglass site that offers a selection of pretty hourglasses to purchase and add your own sand to from the ceremony. This is the first I have seen anything like this, so I thought I’d share the info.
There is also a an Hourglass Unity Ceremony where the couple will each pour their own sand into the glass. A document is to be read during this and you can read it here.
