Turkey Wing

The Turkey Wing shell is easy to identify with is longish shape and brown stripes.

It’s part of the Ark Shell Family and it’s scientific name is arca zebra.

When found alive it is usually partially covered with hair. It’s a bivalve that is found in southern waters – from North Carolina to Bermuda and also Brazil – in water up to 20 feet deep.
