There are many types and sizes of sand dollars. The one on this sticker is a “sea biscuit”. I bought it at a shell shop in Florida.
What do you know about seashells?
I walked the Florida beaches where I lived for many years not thinking too much about the seashells I collected. Now that I use them for work, I have begun to take an interest in their names and how they came to be. This is where I blog about my new-found knowledge. All helpful comments are welcome!-

Hi
Really like your stickers, i have been left in charge for sorting this part out for our wedding day on the 28th July. These will be for our favours.
Is it possible if i select the sticker that i want and then supply you with all my guests name you can print onto each sticker individually?
If you can do this, please can you let me know the cost and also what file format you need the names in ?
Many thanks
Ian
Hi Ian,
Thanks for the compliment on the stickers. Unfortunately since the stickers come in sheets of 20 or 6 (depending on size), and are mailed from another location, I am unable to print individual names on each.
Good luck and best wishes.
Pam
Hi,
My sister and I were walking the beach on Sanibel Island on New Years Day and we found what I believe to be Sea Bisquits. I’ve been going to Sanibel for over 20 years and this year was the first time I found a Sea Bisquit. This one was more oblong than circular and had what appears to be a tiny mouth on the underside. Did I find a Sea Bisquit and where are they usually found?
Hi Karen,
Wow, lucky you to be on Sanibel and double lucky for finding a sea biscuit, if that was what it was. According to Pam’s writing at the “i love shelling” blog, she has never seen a sea biscuit on Sanibel (and she lives there and hunts shells every day). She says that they are found in the upper Florida Keys. But she does have photos of potato or heart urchins on the beach. Check out the page here. Hope you find what you are looking for and you will love her blog.
Thanks for reading!
