Spiny Jewel Box Seashells


These small shells with ridges were plentiful on the gulf coast of Florida. They are called “Spiny Jewel Box”.  I’m not sure, but the flatter ones in this photo could be “Kitten’s Paw” shells.

    I have many kitten paw shells. Whoever came up with these names was certainly inspired. I also love ‘spiny jewel box.’
